When the former GM/KBI manufacturing complex—built in 1946 and spanning more than 1.3 million square feet of buildings and 750,000 square feet of paved surfaces—needed to come down, the owner needed a partner who could handle heavy infrastructure, hazardous materials, and a long schedule without cutting corners. Melching stepped in with a fully self-performed approach to take the site from an aging industrial giant to a clean, buildable property.
